Contemporary Drinks Cabinet

Marlow, Buckinghamshire

We’ve created the perfect space to enjoy an evening with friends. A special cabinet for wine and spirits with under-shelf lighting to highlight what’s on offer. Our cabinets often combine function with form and this drinks cabinet must be the ultimate in designing functional storage with an impressive front.

Our drinks cabinet provides the perfect display for special bottles, the kind that come out at the end of an evening. This cabinet includes pocket doors which open and slide away while in use but can easily be closed to hide everything away during the day.

Our contemporary kitchen is the perfect blend of traditional and modern. Simple square frames surround each shaker door and high specification polished ironmongery add a touch of luxury to the design.

The Aga range and Butler sink are a nod to the more traditional country kitchen but with simple detailing to the surrounding cabinets, the design of this kitchen is very much in the present day.

If you’re looking for somewhere to listen to, or play music, read, watch a film, a home-den does not come much nicer than this. With clever storage for guitars, cameras and books, our audio-visual den not only looks super-cool but also covers many functions.

The rich tones of the Walnut counter and guitar section add a warmth to the room and works perfectly with the dark satin grey of the cabinets. The highest quality ironmongery adds detail without becoming overpowering.

Classic Shaker Kitchen

Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire.

A traditionally detailed kitchen for a traditional timber framed room. Our Classic shaker kitchen features framed and beaded cabinets which add a subtle but notable quality to the design.

The wall mounted cabinets were finished in a satin-sheen neutral colour, while a dark blue was chosen to bring a striking contrast to the island. The feel of the kitchen was one of understated traditional quality.

Modern Kitchen Design

Oxfordshire

Such a generous space deserves stunning cabinetry, something out of the ordinary, and we believe we have created just that. This beautiful design is simple and clean with warmth coming from the grain-matched rift Oak cabinetry. The 8m long island is wrapped with Italian Carrara marble which also frames the drawers.

The appliance package is as impressive as the cabinetry with top brands like Gagganau and Fisher & Paykel installed.
Our team undertook the technical design and manufacture of this special kitchen in collaboration with David Chipperfield Architects, who provided the initial concept designs.

Contemporary Bookcase

The Little Boltons

Langstaff-Ellis was selected by an architect based in South Kensington, to supply a stunning handmade contemporary bookcase as well as an Architect’s drawing board to superior specifications. The bookcase was tailor-made in solid maple and painted in a satin finish with faux books added on subtle sliding doors to hide the audio visual equipment inside.

Integral lighting was included in the design to cast just the right amount of light onto each shelf. During the installation, on this particular commission, we worked alongside the clients main contractor, electrician, audio technician and decorators.

Modern Home Interior

Henley – on – Thames

This project was as enjoyable as it was challenging. The modern style allowed for little compromise in the design or fit. Sleek lines, minimal tolerances and a clean white appearance flowed throughout the project where we completed the Kitchen, Dressing room, multiple bathrooms, utility room and much more.

Such was the quality and ambition of the build, in 2018 the project won RIBA South award and the architects Sarah Griffiths and Amin Taha won the Project Architect of the year award 2018. The house also featured on the Grand Designs House of the Year program featured in November 2018. We are hugely proud to have played our part in this amazing build along the riverside of the Thames.

Period House Comission

Beaconsfield

This period English manor house was painstakingly reconstructed and created from the ground up incorporating our highly skilled carpentry throughout.

Our commission included the centrepiece staircase with its continuous handrail, tailored hall doors sitting in panelled pockets and a pair of very chic bookcases in the drawing room painted in Farrow & Ball Black Blue.

We also designed the space in the utility room with bags of storage for wellies, washing and flower arranging! The highlight is the traditional plain shaker kitchen and dresser with industrial stainless steel counter tops, vintage light pendants and contrasting distressed oak Island.
